"I want simply what you did to Fenrir," I replied, no emotion in any of my features, "look at my memories, let me show you what happened the day... my mate died," I avoided saying, "the day I sent Aryth away".

"For now eh? Alright, this first one may sound a little stupid but," I drew in a small breath, "I once stole a peice of my father's hoard once," I smiled and chuckled a bit, "and when he asked me where the gold was, I lied," I laughed, "stupid," I shook my head, the rain dripping off my snout, "later on, I deprived a starving dragon of food once, I didn't care, heck, I was the smaller one of us. Then, I took this one necklace from a human, pawning it off for some rabbit," I looked back to Fenrir, "probably not the greed you were talking about, but pretty close, taking things from others and hardly caring about what would happen to them, only caring for myself." I scoffed at myself, I shouldn't have been angry at Fenrir, for lying to me, I'm probably just as bad as him.

"I want simply what you did to Fenrir. Look at my memories, let me show you what happened the day... my mate died.". Erierin requested nonchalantly. The dragoness frowned. “Your memories?” she repeated, gaze now drifting to Braveheart. “I think he’s talkin’ to you, Mike.” she stated. It wasn’t like she could see memories anyway. That, only the green maned dragon beside her could do.

"For now eh?”. Indeed... for now, Aryth was nothing but a common dragon. Not enemy, not ally. “Alright, this first one may sound a little stupid but... I once stole a piece of my father's hoard once," he smiled and chuckled a bit as he told the tale. "and when he asked me where the gold was, I lied,"he then laughed "Stupid."Fenrir raised one eyebrow. “Quite a bit, yes.” he stated bluntly. "Later on, I deprived a starving dragon of food once, I didn't care, heck, I was the smaller one of us. Then, I took this one necklace from a human, pawning it off for some rabbit. Probably not the greed you were talking about, but pretty close, taking things from others and hardly caring about what would happen to them, only caring for myself.". he then scoffed at himself, which meant he probably didn't approve of these actions, which was rather good. When he noticed the dragon had finished telling stories, Fê spoke. “Not that differrrent, no...” he muttered, though loud enough so Aryth could hear. “Deprrriving a starrrving being of food? That’s downrrright grrreedy.” he grinned sickly. “You, Arrryth... may be walking the same path as me. To let yourrr sins consume yourrr soul, your ambitions consume yourrr being...”. His smile suddenly vanished. “So do us all a favorrr... and choose anotherrr path.”. Why, but why was he saying that? With his ambitions, Fenrir got powers beyond any feeble mortal comprehension... or at least, beyond his comprehension. So why choose the hard path, the one of good, instead of the simple one of malice?

'Because the easy way isn’t always the best.'. Indeed, indeed.

"I want simply what you did to Fenrir." The dragon replied to Michael’s question. No emotions in his features. Michael cocked an eyebrow at the request. "Look at my memories, let me show you what happened the day... my mate died." He finished. Michael remained in silence. Kind of thoughtful. Polaryu frowned. “Your memories?” She said, drifting her gaze to Michael then. “I think he’s talkin’ to you, Mike.” She said to the dragon. Michael looked down at her for a moment, in silence, then looked back at Erierin. His face holding a serious expression.

“Very well…” He begun. “Get down here.” He demanded, taking the medallion off his neck. “Let’s see what you have got in your mind.” He said, lifting the silver piece in front of him. “Clean your mind and put your right paw on this.” Michael said, reaching the medallion on the palm of his right paw to Erierin.

Once the dragon touched the medallion, it glowed blue. Some energy passing from the medallion to Erierin and then returning. Michael’s eyes glowing slightly, staring deep into Erierin’s eyes. No blinking.

Darkness, then, sounds and voices rushed into his mind, the voices of Erierin and his mate, Luna, an elegant eastern-western mix, no horns, scales black, her scales changed with the moon's phases, and this day was a day of a new moon, when her strength is drained, and the humans knew that.

-----------------------------------

She chuckled, "what do you think his name should be?" We knew his gender, Luna has the ability of predicting, "I don't know," I replied. "Why not name him after your great grand-father?" She quizzed me, I thought about that for a second, he was the greatest shadow elder this world has seen, but none of the other elders thought that, "I don't know, the elders might think him a threat an-" Luna cut me off, "I don't think so." I smiled at her, her predictions were too strong for me to distrust them, "alright then, Aryth it is."

Dia, the oldest of our first hatchlings asked as she came up and crawled over my tail, "father, did you think of a name for them yet?" Luna smiled, "well, one more name to go," she looked down to the opposite egg, "what do you think?" I already knew my answer, "how about... Luna?" I smiled slyly at my mate, as she did so to me, chuckling, we nuzzled each other, "Luna then," She said looking back down to the egg. Though, I saw something in her eyes, was she trying to hide something? Was it... despair? "Luna?" She looked back up, her beautiful face brightening at my voice, "yes?"

"Are you alright?"

"Yes." She replied, though her tone said something else.

"Father, I'm hungry," Dia said, her voice carrying the same effect as her mother's, they shared that ability, predicting, and I knew something was happening.

But I stayed silent, nodding at my daughter, "okay, lets go find you something."

I walked out of the cave, Dia at my side, "have you gotten your technique figured?" I asked her. "Yep!" She ran off the ledge and opened her small but very strong wings, taking flight and turning back to the ledge, landing easily before me. I smiled, proud of my oldest, "amazing! You learned faster than I did!" She brightened at the compliment.

"Now to get your food," I took off, a gust of wind taking me above the ledge as Dia took off after me.

Moments later, I found a family of deer, straight below us, unaware of their fate. Dia already knew how to hunt grounded, it was natural that she instinctivly knew how to catch the prey below from the skies.

Quiet and quick.

She landed on the male, snapping his neck quickly as the others fled. She looked up as I beamed, she was going to be a great mate someday.

As I landed, she asked, "do you want some?" I laughed, "your catch, your meal," she smiled and began eating the body.

A low rumble sounded some miles off, I knew what that was, human weapons the size of a newborn hatchling, I was about to brush it off, until I saw that Dia noticed it too. But her reaction was different, she stopped eating, and sat, staring at a tree, tears streamed from her eyes, "mother told me to."

"No." I whispered, "NO!!!" My rage was unbearable, I couldn't control it. I took off, toward our cave, roaring at the top of my lungs. Luckily, the humans just gotten there when I had arrived, they lined the ledges, their heavier weapons at the ready. "No!" I roared again, the giant vehicle fired off, Luna its target, she fell, smoke from the wound trailed off her. At this, I went blind with rage, everything was a blur, the only peice I remember was Dia joining the fight.

And the end.

I breathed heavily, the tanks flattened, and every human either fleeing, crushed, clawed, or in my stomach. I moved toward my mate, her chest blown open from the force of the blast, "no no no, Luna." She looked at me, she drew in a heavy breath, "it was inevitable." I shook my head, "no! If you would have told me, then I could have saved you!" She coughed, blood sputtered out, "you could have died," she smiled one last time, "I didn't want you tooo-" she breathed her last breath, and her eyes went blank, her gaze locked on me, "Luna!" I cried out, to deaf ears. Laying my head on hers, I heard Dia, "father!"

"Run! Dia, run! More humans will come I know it!" I roared at her, keeping my pose, as I looked to her, her features showing surprise and dismay, "Run! And don't look back!" She took a step back, and she flew, leaving us below.

I stepped away from her, looking for my eggs. When I came to the ditch, three were smashed, "no! [:censor:] humans!" The last two, Aryth and Luna sat, leaning against each other. I couldn't believe my eyes, the humans didn't kill them? Why?

I heard the low rumble again, more of them. I would have fought them, but I was already exhausted. so I took Aryth in my foreclaws, concentrating hard. I remembered my father's mark, and his father's mark, then his father's mark. Forcing it into every part of my mind, and I imagined it on Aryth inside the egg. I didn't know if it worked, but I couldn't try gain, time was running short.

Then, I pictured my closest friend's cave, no details coming to mind, but I kept the image of their nest long enough to imagine this very egg there. And suddenly, Aryth was gone. I had no time in wondering if he had made it, and I was too tired to. I took luna and left.

-------------------------------

At this point, I removed my hand from the green dragon's medallion, a solitary tear sliding down the left side of my maw, "don't say a word to Aryth, I wan't him to learn himself," my voice kept its emotionless tone, though my eyes told them utter sadness, that discomforted me.

(Sorry, not gonna post Aryth's side right now :/)

When Polar made her little comment, he looked at the dragoness in silence for a moment, then turned his stare to the shadowy dragon. “Very well… get down here.” He demanded, taking the medallion off his neck. Erierin flew down, landing in front of the green dragon. “Let’s see what you have got in your mind.” He said, lifting the silver piece in front of him. “Clean your mind and put your right paw on this.”. And... well, so he did. Mike's eyes glowed dimly, while the medallion itself did so as well, though brightly. Erierin seemed to drift off to another world, and Michael was staring into his eyes, not blinking. 'This is pretty creepy...' the dragoness thought, lifting one eyebrow. She sat down, sighing. This perhaps would take a while.

It didn't take as long as she expected, though, before the gray dragon removed his paw from the medallion, visually back to Earth. Polar instintinctively stood up as soon as he seemed to be back, and then noticed a tear making its way across his muzzle. "Don't say a word to Aryth, I want him to learn by himself." he said emotionlessly, though it was obvious he was not happy at all. Polar lifted one eyebrow, looking at Mike. "So? What did you see?" she asked, Oh, the curiosity. Why was he crying, anyway? Was it that sad?
